I cannot comment on the performance of the knife because the face was damaged when I received it and I had to return it. A replacement wasn’t available.

This amazing knife does it all with such ease that I can only say buy it and you will see for yourself.

I can’t really put into words the feeling you get while using this knife. What you pay for it doesn’t match what I get out of it. I would pay more if I had to. It’s that good.

I prefer the Santoku knife over the chiefs knife. I really love this larger 7" version. Holds an edge for a LONG time. I would buy a larger one if I ran across one.

I use this knife DAILY! I sharpen it myself with a steel, and brings it to life even though my knife is well over 12 years old. I bought this knife for a wedding gift. I have bought at total of five including mine over the years to give as gifts, and I have had many compliments for this knife's sharp edge, balanced handle, & usefulness. The quality is supreme. I still have my first Henckels knife I received as a wedding gift 40 years ago. I buy only the Four Star II 7 inch for gifts because a woman can handle the the handle!! But men love it as well. It is well worth the price.

I gave this as a housewarming gift and I’ve been thanked repeated for it. So, they seem really happy with it.
