I've always used dryer sheets but was told to stop because the residue from them can irritate acne. The dryer balls acted as a great fabric softener but there was still a lot of static on my clothes. I read somewhere to add a ball of aluminum foil to the dryer and I just add one ball of regular foil from my kitchen, about the same size as the dryer balls and my clothes are static free and actually feel better than when I used to use dryer sheets!
I was excited to try a natural product that would soften clothes and reduce drying time; however, the lint on clothes following each time in the dryer with the Woolzies makes this product very unacceptable. I washed my sheets and used Woolzies in the dryer. After sleeping on the clean sheets, I awoke to find my PJ's covered in lint balls! Upon closer inspection, I found the sheets were simply covered in lint. Now, I am having to focus on rewashing several items of clothing affected by this product. I plan to return this purchase to the store for a refund.

Years ago at a County Fair I learned about Dryer Balls but they were Hand Made as a guy I'm not good at making things like that. Someone has to make them if there that good. For years I looked for them in stores with no luck, finally found them at Bed Bath & Beyond and bought four boxes, two for now and two for later. Well later never came, so I gave them to my daughter, now she loves them. This time was for my daughter in-law who was fighting the cost of dryer sheets and static electric, She laughed at the idea first but now loves them.

I've only used the Woolzies about a dozen times so far, but I'm happy with them so far. Will get the real test this winter when there is more static electricity in the air. I was happy that they aren't too noisy bumping and banging. The real test...How long will the last???

I have been using wool dryer balls for a few years now. I wanna say around 5 years. I have been through many balls and a lot of them have been cheaper ones. I have been pleased with them but these are by far better. I have only used them for a few weeks and they are holding up great! By now my cheaper ones would be piling and fluffing. These are not.
