At first this slicer worked very well but the more it was used the blade seems to have dulled as the slices come out a bit shredded. I kept it because it's the best one and perhaps the only one on the market for this price. How to sharpen the blade??.

Slicer works fine for smaller amounts of cheese but for block cheese not so much. It is very sharp and works great on vegies like squash.

The Westmark Fromarex Cheese Slicer is absolutely wonderful in so many ways: 1. We appreciate that the slice thickness is adjustable, and the guests seem to LOVE slicing their own (as they choose their thickness measurement)! 2. Easy to clean (by hand) 3. Wonderful Conversation piece, and a big hit at gatherings 4. Have already purchased some as gifts! It works beautifully with the aged white cheddar cheese from Vermont (our favorite) as well as many of the European firm cheese.

i like it so far. i have only used it once for cheese and salami. The slicer did great. however I wonder about the not so heavy duty part of the slicer.

I've only used it a couple of times, but it does a great job with cheese & slices cucumbers real thin. I would recommend it. There are not enough instructions in English though.

This makes slicing cheese so easy - whether you want thick or thin slices. The dial setting takes a bit of getting used to for the right thickness. The blade is sharp, and the whole thing is relatively easy to clean.
