I agree with most of the reviews that as a stand alone soda flavor it's not that good but there is an upside to it. If you mix it with other flavors it's downright amazing. My favorite so far is mixing a half cap of cream with a full cap of strawberry, the result is a red cream soda that reminds me of the red cream from when I was a kid. My wife likes it mixed in the same ratio with orange. Mixing it with root beer or Dr. Pete gives them more of a vanilla flavor that's out of this world. Hopefully they'll come up with a better, stand alone cream flavor but using this one as an adjunct can't be beat.
I have been using soda stream for over two years and this new version is lacking big time by comparison! The flavor is very weak. If you compare the new product to the old, the bottle has less syrup, the price went up and it contains more sugar than before. What others have said is true, you now have to use more to get a decent taste. I have tried cola, root beer and black cherry. None are nearly as good as before! If they continue with this new syrup, I will not be buying it anymore! The best part is that I posted this same review on soda streams website and they rejected it! Guess they know their product is not up to par and can't take the heat.

It is not as good as Diet Pepsi, but it never claimed to be. It is worth trying and I would suggest buying the 0.5 liter bottles if you drink a can a day like I do.
