Simply Essential™ Microwave Fish and Vegetable Steamer in Beige

Put some water in the bottom put the tray on put your vegable on put on the lid put it in the microwave. I’m having a little trouble with how many minutes to steam the food. Still working on that but otherwise in like this product

I bought this steamer months ago and am happy with it. Wish it was a little biggervor the top a little higher. It should have instructions but doesnt. Went online forcthem.. But I learned that by using a lower power setting veggies come out better. Havent tried it for fish though.

I did not think this purchase through. I needed to replace my old micro-cooking set and got a little excited when I spotted this in a store. What I realized once I got it home and used it is this: (1) with the steaming insert in place the cooking space is quite shallow. (2) The lid does not stay in place without the steaming insert in place. You can still use it but the lid rests on top of the bottom segment and can easily slip off. The adjustable venting is a good feature, however, as soon as I find a suitable replacement this thing is going to Goodwill.

Easy and makes healthy eating possible. Only wish capacity was a little larger.

I tried to steam green beans. Not good! They were not consistent. Some where over cooked and some were not so cooked. They dried out for some unknown reason. I put plenty of water!!

Cook fish and vegetables in the microwave with this steamer. Preserves nutrients and flavor. Easy to use and clean.

I use it only for veggies. Some day I may try their recipe for fish.Looks like it would be a bit crowded. My old micro steamer had a much deeper steaming volume, but after searching everywhere to duplicate the old design and couldn't find it, settled for the Simply Essentials unit.

This is actually our second one. We now have one at our house in Houston and now a second one at our condo in Utah.
