Cord is terrible. Hard to vacuum when you are struggling with the electrical cord. The cord gets all tangled and twisted that it limits the distance you can vacuum. I tried to untwist it but the cord is made of such cheap plastic it’s impossible to undue and there is no oem replacement that i can find. Buyer beware. Not sure if all their vacuums have this same cord but i would not recommend.

I was very happy with the vacuum to begin with; it was a godsend for a household with 4 people with long hair. However, the brushroll section broke in less than 2 years. With a 5-year warranty, I thought it would be covered, but Shark considers the entire bottom half of the vacuum a "wearable part," the same as a foam filter. It seems the company's warranty really ONLY covers the motor, so the construction quality is a major concern.

Really disappointed with this vaccum. Hair still gets stuck in it and the bottom piece to the vacuum no longer works. Oh yeah and it's only under a 1 year warranty. I think that's pretty shady of them to do that. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

So this vacuum cleans really good and gets the job done. Unfortunately the brush rolls are not self cleaning like it claims to be. I’m still having to cut dog and human hair from the brush roll.

Received for Christmas in 2020. Have been using for about 2 months now. I was super impressed with this vacuum until today when the front orange brush roller stopped working. Pretty disappointed it only lasted 2 months. I have another shark that I've owned for 7 years still running strong. But felt the need for 2 vacuums with a two story house.

I used to own the rocket vacuum for 3 years before and thought this was an upgrade. The bottom portion is smaller so more sweeps, but eh not an huge issue. Then it stopped working, at 14 months. Apparently the metal stick (wand) that is steel is a "wearable part" and not covered under the warranty as the brush roll would not engage when it was attached. Not cool having to pay for a replacement part so close to the one year warranty period and shipping.

I have been looking for best lightweight vacuum for decades. I have used a few of sharks stick vacuums and by far this style Apex is my favorite. I will die if they ever stop making this exact style. The only thing that could make it better would be more suction power. Absolutely will never own another.
