I saw all the 5 star reviews and consumer reports and I'm afraid I just don't get it. This iron does function well and has great steam, and good features like auto-off, earning it 3 stars from me. BUT it is very heavy and the weight is awkward...the center of gravity feels off. So I'm not thrilled with having spent so much.

I bought this machine three months ago. It has not been dropped, but it has started leaking water when it is first turned on. This began about 3 weeks ago. Today the steam burst lever quit working. It stays in the down (depressed) position all the time. I paid way too much for this iron for it to only have a 3-month lifespan. Extremely disappointed !

My husband keeps telling me to stop buying this brand. They don't last long for the price. I bought this and within 2 months the steam button is no longer working. It stay in and you cannot press it for steam. It a cheap plastic piece. For $150.00 their parts should be better. Thank God its within the 90 return policy. So disappointed.

I needed a new Iron and it was not from China. It is made in Germany.

This a great iron. I've had it a little over a month now. I mainly use it for when I don't want to use my Rowenta steam generator,,,which I love as well.

Since switching to the Steamforce DW9280 iron, I immediately appreciated the upgraded quality/results of my clothes ironing. They way it seamlessly removed wrinkles w/ease. So much so, that I no longer require the regular use of starch on many of my clothing items to get dry cleaner type results!

This is great iron with a lot of steam. This is my second one.

I've tried two purchases of this model, have done extensive research of other users online, and contacted Rowenta support. Rowenta irons are known for leaking. The support person indicated that it was the glue that wears down and provided a bunch of ridiculous recommendations such as not to use distilled water, not to use the pressure blast, or basically to leave the iron in the cupboard unused and it won't fail within a year. Terrible company, brand, product and service.
