My dermatologist told me years ago to buy a Norelco electric razor because serious skin issues. I tried a couple of other brands and got razor burns and rashes from using them. I bought the Series 3000 because it was washable and nothing fancy and my old Norelco gave up the ghost, so to speak, after 20 years.

The SH 30’s are the worst cutting blade Phillips Norelco has ever made. When it was just Norelco they took pride and made excellent products. When Phillips came along many years ago the quality went down and down. I haves used Norelco electric razors for more than 40 years and bought a Series 3000 in July. It came with SH30 shaving heads and it was poor from the first shave. I tries it about a dozen times since and I would just chuck the thing in the back of my drawer. The HQ8 blades lift and cut and are the best blades they have ever made. They are expensive, but work the best. The S30’s are close to 1/2 the price and cut about 1/2 as bad too. Quality Phillips quality!!!

only get 4 shaves per charge. Would have to take charger on business trip if more than four days.

Speed if blades is slower than what I would expect

This is normal since beard and skin will need time to adjust. We advise to invest 3 weeks and you'll soon experience the full joy of your new shaver.
