At first glance this cheese slicer looks very modern and sleek. When I went to use for the first time I was unable to figure out how to wire the slicer and ended up going through both replacement wires. Through trial and error I figured out how to tighten the wire in the handle, however I am dissatisfied that in the process I no longer have replacement wires. The slicer came with no instructions which would have greatly helped for a first time user.

it already broke used it one time slicing cheese for my daughter birthday party
Product arrived chipped underneath and the string was broken. When my husband tried to put the spare on, it broke after 1 use.

Although this wire cheese slicer has a nice marble base and modern look, the wire keeps coming loose from the handle and will not cut all the way through the cheese. There should be a way to tighten the wire into the handle so that there is more tension. I believe the wire is getting stretched which causes it to pop out of the handle. Safe yourself trouble and don't buy this brand.

It worked for about five minutes before the wire came out. I have spent 45 minutes trying to re-wire with no luck. The marble piece is nice but not worth keeping since it will remind me of my bad purchase. The receipt has been thrown away.

Each time I tried to slice through some cheese the cheese would break off at the end of the slice. The wire didn't go all the way through. After I figured out why. Very disappointed in this purchase. And I was so looking forward to this because I had lost the other one I had during a move.
