Seven years and still look BRAND NEW! ERIN ·

I have 8 place settings and received them in 2013 when I got married. We’ve used them every day and have moved twice. No breaks, no chips, no scratches on the plates. HIGHLY recommend.

What happened to the old Noritake? OCTOBER ·
Recommended Not Recommended

I purchased a similar Noritake set (4 large plates, 4 salad plates, 4 shallow bowls, 4 soup bowls, and 4 mugs) years ago. I loved the set and with an expanding family I decided to purchase another set. I was very disappointed. Not only is this new set worse, but it comes with the tiniest bowls and plates that seem to be more for dessert or for a kid (they had replaced the fantastic shallow bowls and large soup bows in the original set). What is worse is the craftmanship of this new set. A few of the plates are not level (meaning when you put it on the table it tilts upwards on one side). Also, the material the company is now using to make this dinnerware is of inferior quality. As a side by side comparison to the old set, it is heavier (almost as it was made of a cheap clay substitute) and thicker (coarse). I used to be able to use my old set as "fine" china... but this new set just pales in comparison and I am almost ashamed to have such a poorly made set next to the finer set from years ago. What happened to quality control? I only gave it 2 stars based on the old set because hopefully somebody that works for Noritake will realize that their product is not not so good now... was it a change in manufacturer? I don't know. But please change it back to the original Noritake dinnerware. At least the color and name is the same as the old set.

Very nice coffee mugs. Robert ·

Excellent products. Great price Always like Noritake brand. Bought 6. Only real complaint I have is with the volume 18oz on the description is a bit misleading unless you expect to drink your 18oz coffee with a straw in the beginning because that 18 oz. is to the actual TOP rim. You would spill it just trying to move it until you drank at least 1-2 oz. For the last 8 years I have been using large 18.5-19oz mugs that accommodate my standard water bottle of 16.9 oz plus 1 oz of creamer with a little bit of room to spare. I could move mug to the table without spilling any. Had to cut back with a little less water. Oh well. BTW be careful moving the mugs around without holding the handle because the sides are a bit slippery even when DRY! Use the handle always even when empty. Don't want to drop them. Not sure how they would survive hitting a tile floor. The handle could be a slight bit wider too but still very acceptable. Enjoy.

Cute trays, nice for organizing crackers Katt ·

I bought two of the small trays to see what they were like. After I received them, I bought two more. I will use them to hold things like crackers. They are a nice size for that.

Unusual piece adds character to the table Katt ·
Recommended Not Recommended

This size and shape of this tray makes it an unusual piece that adds character to the table. I recently bought two of them. Although I have not used them yet, my intent is to use them as serving trays on the table for things like: stuffed mushrooms and slices of long loaf garlic bread, cheese, and kielbasa.

Perfect size Katt ·

The gravy boat is a good size...not so small that you have to keep getting up from the table to refill it, or so big that the weight of it when filled results in spills. I do wish it came with a "plate" of its own to collect any drippings.

Essential & Versatile Katt ·

In my opinion, the Noritake Colorwave 2 quart covered casserole is a "must have" and, indeed, it was one of the first pieces I bought. It is versatile, from baking homemade beans and mac & cheese, to being on your holiday table or buffet keeping food warm. My new casserole dish (graphite) will be an important part of my Thanksgiving table this year. I plan to use one for keeping the mashed potatoes warm, and the other for keeping the turkey dressing warm!

Too dark Leslie790 ·

While I love my cool wave graphite dinnerware, I ended up returning these flower lunch plates. The gray background color is too dark and unpleasant. I wish they were the cream background instead, like the appetizer plates.

Cocoa Mug Larissa ·

This is a Christmas gift and is the perfect size for a nice big mug of cocoa.
