I have had Noritake for 40 years and have never been disappointed. The stax in graphite is very pretty. The plates are a bit smaller than other options. The mugs are great for morning coffee and tea. Great choice.

The style of these dishes is lovely and they fit very well in shelves. However, you can't microwave them! I tried making a bowl of oatmeal and after 3 minutes in the microwave I needed a oven mitt to take the bowl out. These, to me, are not everyday dishes for that reason. Who doesn't microwave leftover or hot water for tea on a daily basis? You can't use these for that...

A definite step up in quality from other lower-priced dinnerware. Very nice coloration. Especially appealing to those of us who prefer a tailored, crisp look (nothing fussy or overly feminine). I particularly like the geometric look of the Stax style with the vertical sides.
