Wanted to concur on Stockwoods review below about the difficulty in cleaning this model. If we had known that there was no access panel to clean the unit like there is in the SP101 we would not have bought it. The fan now makes a terrible noise and the unit it very tough to clean. If anyone has tips on how to clean it and the now gunked up fan please let us know. Contemplating getting rid of the only 3 month old 301 and buying the 101. I do love the sear plate pizza function on the 301 so I am wondering what to do. Ninja - major design flaw in this upgrade by not having an access panel to clean the unit. Reddit’s only advice is dont flip up after use which to me makes having this completely pointless. Either way it still smokes and having the now icky interior visible every time i walk by annoys me.

Bought a month ago and almost used it every day. have not tried the air fryer yet, We have a small kitchen and it fits perfect under the cabinet.

I bought this because I needed a bigger air fryer. It doesn't even cook evenly. French fries burn on the ends and the middle takes forever to cook. It is very thin oven so hard to put anything that isn't flat in it. I had high hopes with all the good reviews. Sadly it missed the mark. I wish I would of bought the other air fryer but I really wanted a small oven.

This oven was excellent and used daily until it sparked and burnt the inside of the oven. Shortly after plugging in the oven and setting it to "Griddle" to preheat, we heard sparking and then saw smoke and an awful burning smell coming from the oven. When it finally cooled and we took the pans out, the middle bottom heating element was black and burnt and so was the opening on the side with the motor. Since I only had the unit for 5 months, I called Ninja.com to see if the unit can be replaced since I am scared to use it for fear of a fire hazard and they basically implied I had used it too frequently. Then they forced me to do a video chat with them and run the machine (I had to pause to get my fire extinguisher just in case) on the toast setting and even though it smelled like something was burning, it didn't smoke so they said they wouldn't replace it and aid if it does that again give us a call. I am so disappointed. I paid a lot of money to have an oven that after 5 months I don't feel safe using anymore. I have been telling so many family members and friends how awesome this oven is, but now I feel let down and the warranty was completely pointless. They lost a long time ninja/shark customer today.

This is an upgrade for me. I gave the previous one to my daughter, she loves it. I really like the new model. Frozen pizza is great done on the sear plate, crispy bottom crust and cooks much faster than the previous model. Keeping fresh mushrooms long enough to eat all of them before they became compost material has always been an issue. So, I bought that 2 pound pkg. for a great savings and dehydrated them and vacuum sealed them. No more mushrooms in the compost. It makes perfect toast and bagels, and the air fry function are used daily. The new model is still a challenge to clean, but I love it anyway.

It does everything it is supposed to but every time I move it I find oil leaking all over the countertop and it seeps out for days. I keep it clean and have no idea where it is coming from.

I love it. It has so many different use. Absolutely a most have.

I like the SP 301, but I'm disappointed with the warranty and lack of replacement parts. I've had the unit less than 2 months and have mostly made toast with it. Reheated 3-4 times and baked twice. The front heating element broke and is now black inside. The element part can't be purchased. Warranty claim charge of $22 to send new insert. Out of warranty would be $229, more than the current price of a new unit. With such a limited warranty and fragile (non-replaceable) elements, this is not an economical or environmentally friendly choice.
