Coffee taste and consistency is amazing! Creamy and foamy. More expensive refill than Keurig, but much better taste and quality opportunities: 1- Coffee could be hotter 2- very limited options to buy. Only Nespresso brand.
I wanted the ability to have Nespresso quality coffee but at a size larger than espresso shots. This new Vertuso system does just that. The coffee selection is good and the quality is fantastic for a coffee out of a quick machine. This unit mechanism does a great job of collecting the old pods and keeping it from becoming a mess, and it also has a great dispense system, including a "suckback" feature so no drips occur after it is done. What I do not like is the effort needed to close the machine fully before pressing start. This unit is fine for me (burly guy) but for others with reduced hand strength, it can be a challenge. It also has zero displays on the unit other than the light in the button. In order to troubleshoot what it is trying to tell you, you must have Morse code skills and the instructions or web nearby to determine what is wrong. Another issue is that the unit will run dry of water and cheat you out of the coffee in your pod, and give you the blinky code after it is too late to salvage, thus requiring the use of yet another pod. Even the cheap Keruig units will prevent you from using when below a specific water level. Finally, the unit does connect to WiFi, but the capabilities are nearly useless. In fact, I never use or need this feature as it is completely without a single benefit. I registered it and that is about it. In the end, the coffee is great, but the machine has flaws that you must learn to get around.

Purchased my first Next machine in Aug 2021 and have had no issues to date (as of 6/25/22). Recently decided in June 2022 to buy another Next machine (same model) to have one at my apt and one at my office. However the new machine leaked on my counter top pretty bad after 2 cups of coffee. Exchanged it for another one and I had the exact same problem. Returned it & got a refund. BBB took care of me on the exchanges and refund which I appreciate, however I was disappointed in the machine. Ended up buying the Plus Deluxe model about a week ago and it works great and is noticeably quieter then the Next. Go with the Plus model, it’s a lot better machine.

Got this item off my wedding registry it made great coffee! About 3 months later it started leaking and of course that isn’t covered under the one year warranty. Had plenty of cheaper coffee machines that lasted years, this one didn’t even last 3 months.

I really want to love this machine, but it gets harder everyday. We are on our second machine now in just under a year. Nespresso replaced the first one after about six months because we kept getting errors that would not reset. Turns out you can't use the Starbucks Nespresso pods (that say Nespresso all over the box) because it will reset the sensors and just stop reading pods. On our second machine signed up for automatic delivery of Nespresso coffee. We still get random errors after two cups almost daily. They usually reset themselves after a few hours or if I unplug the machine, but at this point it's more trouble than it's worth. Our second delivery of pods was so badly damaged the machine couldn't read them, but Nespresso did send out replacements right away free of charge . Love the coffee, but at this point not worth the expense of the machine, the pods or my time.

We certainly want your Nespresso experience to be special and exactly to your satisfaction. We suggest when turning on your machine, allow your machine to warm up. The light will begin to pulse slowly for about 30 seconds, indicating the “warm-up” phase. Once the light is steady the machine is ready for use. Insert your Nespresso capsule, and ensure the lever is fully locked. The lever must go past the lock symbol and there should be a slight click sound when fully locked. For best maintenance for your Vertuo Next, we recommend to always eject the used capsule after every use, run the Clean Cycle once a week to eliminate coffee grounds build up within the brew unit, and descale your machine every three months. All removable spare parts, including the water tank, should be washed by hand at least once a week. Nespresso offers a lifetime of troubleshooting support. I've now had 4 of these since December 2021. I love this device, but there are some serious quality control issues with them - they will simply stop working all together or begin making horrible banging sounds out of the blue. I've given this one 4 chances - but 4 devices in 6 months is beyond my limit. I'm done with this machine - I shall try another.

Great alternative to getting coffees out for monetary reason and it outdoes any coffee shop I’ve ever visited, that’s a lot.

It lasted about 1 years, then it started leaking water and year after that stopped working altogether.

First Next malfunctioned in multiple ways within a couple of months. Nespresso replaced it. Second machine malfunctioned in even more ways in even a shorter period of time. Replaced by Nespresso this time with a Vertuo Plus, which has proved to be a reliable performer. Save yourself some grief and disregard any impulse you may experience to buy the Vertuo Next.
