This doesn’t work very well. The cores just got punched/drilled out of the apple without the skin being peeled off. Basically, the inside was drilled out while the full apple didn’t really spin and so the outside get peeled. Maybe it would work with very hard apples, but after the first attempt, it’s been tossed into the back of the cupboard, probably never to be used again.

I bought this product to replace a similar one I'd had for several years. The first time I used it, I noticed that the crank handle was installed backwards. After adjusting that, I was able to peel 2 apples before the next couple became jammed and would not turn properly. I discovered that the whole cranking shaft had shifted, to the point that the prongs that hold the apple no longer lined up with the coring hole. No wonder it wasn't cutting right! I will be returning it, and buy another brand.

I tried to use this today to make an apple pie. The instructions are a nightmare! There’s 2 diagrams that do not clarify exactly where to place the apple. All they show is the prong in relation to the corer. Nothing else! I tried everything! I couldn’t even get it to peel an apple! There has got to be more diagrams to show placement of the apple in relation to the prong and the rod. Either this one was returned previously, because the instructions mention how to replace the slicing blade. Please, if the manufacturer sees this, if they could provide a more descriptive set of directions. Maybe put a link to a copy on their website or on the product.

We've never had a handcrank peeler before this one, and we tried this because peeling apples was a bit of a pain and a mess! This was easy to set up and easy to operate, and it doesn't make a mess! It slices the apples very nicely and even cores them! We really like this machine and would recommend it! Even my 10 year old loves using it! :)

Purchased for my daughter who loves apples, but hates peeling the skin off! Really works great, sticks to service perfectly and she uses it constantly!

This is a great addition to my kitchen appliances. With just some initial minor tweeking of the adjustments, I peeled, sliced and cored apples in minutes. Making a pie or applesauce, this was simple and efficient. Hoping to do the same to potatoes for au gratin.
