Mayfair Elongated Molded Wood Whisper Close® Toilet Seat in White

Very smart design of the connection of the seat to the toilet. It has a square top bolt that sits just right in the hinge and makes it more secure in place. The size fits our elongated toilet just right.

Bought 6 months ago , thought it’s from BBB so of course best quality but I was completely wrong, after 1 month it’s keep moving from one to other side and the after 6 months got cracked.

we got a quiet-close seat from a big box store for the kids' bathroom. It was a PAIN to install. Got this one from BBBY with our Plus membership for nice discount for our master bathroom. What a difference. This seat installs extremely easy & quick, closes super slow and quiet, feels heavy and not like a cheap thin material. It feels like a premium item. I do note the image shows a ridge around the outer edge of the lid but the actual seat we received does not have the ridge. That's a minor inconsistency that does nothing against the quality and overall look of the seat. I also tested the feature to remove the seat cover for cleaning and it works easy enough - I hope it holds up and withstands the test of time/use.

The item pictured is the Mayfair Marion Elongated Toilet Seat. What you actually get is the Mayfair Kendall ElongatedToilet Seat. They are the same size but the look is different. I think the photos and details need to be updated to match the actual item you are getting.

We purchased a Bemis (not branded Mayfair then) wooden toilet seat with metal hinges for another toilet a number years ago and it has proved very durable. I opted for the "soft close" feature for the toilet in our powder room. I was a little skeptical about the plastic hinges, because my experience is that they can tend to slip after a while. However, these seem well constructed and designed in a way to discourage slipping. The seat has only been in place a couple of weeks - so far the hinges are living up to the "sta-tite" and "whisper close" claims. Otherwise, the wooden seat is definitely a step up from the plastic one provided with the Kohler toilet. I only reserved a fifth star to see how it performs over time.

This toilet seat is very easy to clean and I like the Whisper Close feature. Only drawback is that when I use other toilets I drop the seat down without thinking and if they do not have Whisper Close it makes a loud noise!

I just bought 3 a month ago and 2 have broken in just that little time. Waste of money. Just waiting for the third one to break. Hopefully not when my company comes. :(

A good toilet seat is severly under rated. It must me comfortable, hold up to cleaning, stain resistant, and unmovable. This toilet seat fits the bill and more.
