I am so glad I finally found a toilet seat that not only has metal hinges but hinges that can be opened for easy cleaning! Anyone that has males in the house knows what a great feature that is !
This seat seems heavy and durable, but the hinges are of poor quality. The bolt under the toilet has a plastic cover, and when I tightened the bolt the plastic broke off, after it stripped out. If the bolts were of higher quality I'd recommend it; otherwise, choose another brand.

Mayfair Easy-Clean toilet seats are wonderful. The twist and lift design of the hinges makes it so easy to clean the toilet. I was looking specifically for this model that has the metal Easy-Clean hinges. My family members tend to be hard on toilet seats, breaking hinges frequently The seats with the metal hinges are not easy to find and many vendor charge absurdly high prices for them. The seat is well constructed and attractive (well as attractive as a toilet seat can be anyway!)
Purchased for my kids bathroom. Firstly, the material is enameled wood and if urine sits on there for 2 days under the seat, it stains the paint. The hinges collect urine and debris easily. I took them off after 2 days and urine was under there, it was disgusting!. I mean, it's going to happen, urine will collect in and around the seat especially when you have a teenage boy with bad aim. But this seat does not clean easily and I don't like how the urine pretty much bakes into the paint after 2 days. Into the garbage it does. I'll be sticking to plastic from now on.

Fits perfectly on my toilet
When the right toilet seat finally arrived, I was very pleased. Good quality and well made.
I purchased a Mayfair wood round toilet seat and was very impressed at how slow closing the lid was. When I purchased my second Mayfair toilet seat, I assumed it would close the same way, but it did not.
Good product. Fantastic quality WOOD VERY STURDY.
Love it plain simple clean!
