I was in search of the perfect toilet seat having been very dissatisfied with ones that had plastic hinges that always loosened and discolored. The Mayfair Benton is absolutely fabulous!! The hinges are made of metal and the entire set-up is very durable and attractive. The lid closes softly, never slamming and cleaning is a cinch. In fact, I am going to purchase a second MB. Highly recommend this product.
So far very satisfied with quality appearance and serviceability. Time will tell.
I purchased this toilet seat 15 months ago and I already need to replace it. The hardware to fix it coming off of the toilet cannot be found so need to replace the entire toilet seat. Would not recommend.

I ordered several of the same toilet seat because quality of finishes is sometimes dented or marked. Quality control could be better. The soft close really works and installation was a cinch for this 50+ year old.
Seat opens easy and closes slowly.
Very pleased. Nice quality and easy to install. Shipping was timely and securely packaged.
It's a good product. It's easy to install as long as you follow their instructions. It's nice to have a toilet seat that gently closes without slamming.
After my plastic seat broke, got tired of it slamming down when closing, I found this! Solid feel, really high quality, big improvement.
