This is a wonderful coffee maker and we love it! It is targeted to those who want to make maybe 1 or 2 cups of coffee at a time, and we find it works well for us. We even purchased the Keurig reusable OneCup so we don't have to rely on the cost of K-cup pods. The water heats up very quickly - it takes probably between 5-10 seconds from when you choose the cup size to when the brewed coffee starts streaming out. The K-cup pod holder comes out, which lets you clean it if need be as well as put in the OneCup. The mug/cup stand is removable, allowing you to place taller mugs and travel mugs. I would say that with the stand removed, we can probably fit a 14-16 oz travel mug comfortably underneath. You can fill a taller mug, but you will need to angle the mug and hold it as it won't fit straight up and down. The mug/cup stand has a lid component and a drip basin component, both of which can be separated from each other. All 3 removable components - K-cup pod holder and mug/cup stand are plastic and can be easily hand-washed or rinsed. There can be a little splashing when the coffee is streaming through, particularly depending on how tall the mug is. The only two mild annoyances we've noticed are that the power chord is fairly short and that the water tank needs refilling often. For the power chord, you'll need to either set up the machine close to an outlet or use an extension cable. The machine will flash the "Add water" light when there's still water in the tank, but not enough for a 12 oz cup. This means that even if you just wanted an 8 oz cup, you will still need to refill the tank first. This also means that a full tank gives you about 2 12-oz cups or 3 8-oz cups before you need to refill it. However, we find these to be mild annoyances at most, but not actual downsides to the machine. Overall, this is a great machine for the price. As I first mentioned though, I would say it's aimed for a specific target audience. If you need a carafe or to make multiple cups of coffee at once, this machine is not for you.

I love my new K-Express single serve coffee maker. I especially like I can press "Strong" because that is the way I like my coffee. And it does not take up a lot of space on my counter like my other one.
