Love the retro look of this toaster but the slots are too small -too short and too narrow. Toast quality is not uniform on both sides. Also, the outgassing when first used is toxic and should not be used in the house until cleared.

I ordered this toaster 5/20/20. Six months later, it doesn't work! The lever won't stay down unless I hold it for a while, and it pops back a minute after I let go. Now, it burns toast when set at 4!

Love the look. Bought it for my daughter. She broke it the second time she used it. The lever doesn’t stand up to a heavy hand evidently.
