Instant Pot 9-in-1 Duo Plus 6 qt. Programmable Electric Pressure Cooker

People recommended an InstaPot to replace my old rice cooker. They said it would cook rice and oatmeal even better than a rice cooker. Plus do many more tasks. With a rice cooker I put in my rice or oatmeal and hit the rice or oatmeal button. That's it. Comes out perfect. The cooker sets the correct time and temperature. The Instapot instructions say to cook oatmeal for "1 min to 1 hour." I looked up a recipe online for the correct setting. It has burned the oatmeal every time. Rice was overcooked and mushy. Just tried to steam some tamales. Instructions said to hit the steam button. There is no steam button. A website suggested to use saute button instead. Worked for a bit, then an error message came on. I fixed what should have been the problem and it still won't work. I know there is a learning curve with a new machine but this is ridiculous.
