I just opened the box and reviewed the manual and setup the machine .. i have plugged it into a good working surge protector and the lights came on and then off( expected ) . I press the power button both lightly and hard and nothign happens, Im just trying to do the inital cleaning. .. any suggestions

We had a Keurig and had been looking at Nespresso because we prefer espresso. This is really well-engineered and both provide more water and smaller space than the Keurig. I also noticed the Keurig needle that punctures the top of the pod is better designed than Keurig's version it should get clogged less. Where this design failed was the water settings for the Nespresso pods. 2,4,6 oz does not match the water sizes the pods are designed for. There is no ristretto button, so to use those pods and get the planned brew you have to guess at when to stop the water. The 2 Oz is just a bit over the Espresso setting, and the 4oz is just a bit over the Lungo setting. There is no Nespresso original pod that is designed to be brewed with 6 oz of water. Running more water through the pod does not create an Americano, it creates a stale over-brewed flavor. Nespresso did a good job of building for good tasting espresso-style coffee. The Instant Pod, sadly just seems to have randomly picked water button settings where there were DESIGNED water amounts for the system they want to support. A) Ignore the 6 oz button for Nespresso. B) If you like Ristretto pods, it's a manual machine.

I have used keurig coffee makers for quite awhile now, but they tend to onlyl last about a year before they go out. we do use them often throughout the day. I wanted to try a different kind to see if i could get one to last longer. Came across Instant pod coffee maker on the web and i love the instant brands, i own alot of their products. This coffee maker is better than the the others i tried, from off to a cup is very quick, has very good flavor, i ran cups thru keurig and this for a taste comparison. only issue i have is the on/off button, it struggles to turn on , you have to find the right spot to turn it on. i would love to get a response as to why and what i can do to fix that problem. other than that i would give it 5 stars and i will buy Instant pod next time also. only had for a few months so far so cant judge how long it will last but it gets alot of use as i use it in the office.

I bought this for my husband for Father’s Day in June. It’s mid August and the coffee side won’t brew. We’ve cleaned it and tried searching for answers but with the product being new, we keep coming up empty.

Pros: hot coffee, lots of water level/cup size choices, brews yummy espresso, capsule espresso better priced than vertuo line, LARGE water tank cons: k cup coffee just not as tasty. very very loud spit out grounds into my espresso (but really not a deal breaker as did not affect my ability to enjoy the coffee) THE BUTTONS are the WORST!!!! You can press over and over and nothing The BUTTONS need a fix. Instant Pot has such great fabulous easy to use pressure cookers - why couldn't they get this one right? :/ I'm trying to love the newer nespresso line, and I don't yet :/ I may have to go back to this or try the original line machines. I just hate to keep the K-cup brewer as a separate machine, but the quality wasn't there for the k-cup brew.

I'm a huge coffee drinker so I gave this one a try and absolutely love it. I'm the only coffee drinker in my house so the single brew is perfect for me,especially later in the day when I just wanna a cup or 2. I'm in love with my new coffee machine!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I get the perfect size FULL cup, I love my big 12 oz mug, of coffee. I like that there are a few cup sizes as not everyone in my household or who I have over for coffee like them big. Which leads to that being my favorite feature. What I dislike is how much splashing happens. It makes a pretty good mess but my coffee is so worth it. It gets the water very hot. The water reservoir is big and is also very easy to remove and clean. The machine makes a bit of noise but not to bothersome.
