I own 3 Nest indoor camera and I’m really happy with my devices. It’s clear and I’m able to monitor my house even if I’m out of the country.

The installation is simple, the form factor is beautiful, the software is intuitive and easy to customize.I've tried to sync the camera with a smart light to make a motion detector light, but no luck yet. If this feature exists, please reply.

The HD indoor and outdoor cameras are very expensive and the regular definition like mine are very weak when you zoom in. I bought mine to see how my puppy is doing in his crate and when I zoom in it’s really weak.

Here are some recommended steps that may be helpful when you use the zoom feature: - Try rotating your phone to landscape mode to have the video fill the entire screen. This helps make pinching and zooming easier to use. - If you’re holding your phone in portrait mode, you can also tap the down arrow pointing down below your video feed to have it fill the entire screen. Drag your finger left and right to see more of your camera’s view. When you’re done, tap the up arrow Arrow pointing up at the bottom of the screen to snap back to the original view. You may also want to try out the Enhance feature, where you can change the scene that your camera’s looking at. Enhance keeps your camera zoomed in all the time, even when you’re not watching video. Because your camera focuses its entire sensor on the area you’ve zoomed in on, Enhance can show more detail. However, if you use Enhance, described below, your camera will only stream the zoomed-in footage until you turn off Enhance. The camera is very very slow, and the mic quality is very poor. We have very high speed internet and all smart devices operate perfectly, including streaming, except the nest hello and nest indoor camera despite being on the same floor as the router and have excellent internet signal. The nest app takes very long to stream the video, the microphone is terrible. We wanted to get all nest products since we love the 2 learning thermostats and the nest protects we have, but the cameras are a huge disappointment

Meanwhile, if you're experiencing spotty connection or weak signal, we recommend checking your Wi-Fi network to see if your bandwidth is congested. This may happen if you have too many devices connected on the same bandwidth or if your network package is not enough to handle the data traffic on the network. Here are some other steps that may be helpful: - If you have a lot of open apps on your phone, they can slow down its overall performance. Try closing some apps, including the Nest app, and then re-open only the Nest app to view your video. - The video can be delayed if your camera, phone, tablet or computer is connected to a Wi-Fi extender, which adds extra relay time to any device that’s using it. If you’re using an extender in your home, connect your camera directly to your Wi-Fi router to help reduce the delay: from the Nest app home screen, tap Settings Home info Home Wi-Fi help (select your camera) Update settings. Be sure to pick your Wi-Fi router and not the extender. I have a nest doorbell, outdoor IQ camera and indoor camera. They are all great products however, my issue is with the software as it has too long of a delay to report anything and they often go offline for some reason. I only keep on purchasing Nest products because I like the compatibility of them with Nest aware but I am not a fan of Nest aware and there are not many options that are better.
