I bought the v10 animal as I have a dog which sheds hair. The vacuum is excellent. It cleans pet hair perfectly, it's easy to clean the rollers and dirt cylinder. The tools are simple to change and are effective for stairs and hard to get at places. My house as never looked so clean ! Even the cardboard packing was a work of art which could have won the Turner prize ! All in all a well thought out and engineered product..

We have 4 dogs! Need I say more! More than I expected, a must for pet owners. Simple to use and most efficient Vaccum cleaner we have ever owned. No bags to purchase makes to cost of ownership low and better for the environment!!!!

This little vacuum does everything we needed it to do and more. We needed a small handheld unit for convenience and portability, and this has been an absolute dream! Gets into every nook and cranny, with strong continuous suction on demand. Couldn’t be happier with this product!

I have owned this for close to two years now. Pros: It is quick to grab without needing to connect a hose or power. Cons: It does not have enough air flow suction to be functional for a normal use home vacuum. Using the brush head it came with is mostly useless. Due to the limited airflow the brush head often pushes around dust when I am cleaning in deep or very dusty areas without actually picking this up or sucking them in to the vacuum. The power heads seem to be another example of this. They are very narrow. I always wanted a nice wide brush head to clean my hardwood floors with. For this vacuum the only options are narrow power heads. I did buy the special power head attachment for hard floors. It does an alright job. it just takes a long time with how narrow it is and does not get as deep in uneven surfaces as a wide brush head would. This vacuum is handy for quickly cleaning an area rug or a spot quickly. As a whole home vacuum it is quite disappointing. It just does not have the suction required for the job.

I have a golden retriever and dog hair is an issue. NOT ANYMORE!!! My house is cleaner than ever! So easy to go from floor to carpet, no changing attachments constantly, and very comfortable handling. would recommend to anyone and everyone. Thank you Dyson!!!

Bought the V7 Animal due to dog hair, this vacuum and its heavy price tag does not warrant it statements. The stench of pet dander that comes from the canister is awful, you have to open windows and burn candles. NO my dog does not stink she is bathed weekly. The nasty smell goes airborne during vacuuming just awful. Then the run time is pathetic, try doing 2 rugs and your out of luck, have to go charge so your cleaning drags on and on all day. Not only do pay the high price tag but in a short period you have to replace the battery at another couple of hundred dollars. Better to upgrade your central vacuum and get better performance and run time with no stench in the air. My nephews have the same smelly issue with theirs and their dogs and no we are not dirty dog owners. Will never buy a Dyson again.

I've had two issues, including one off-warranty, and I will say Dyson stands behind this vacuum. They respond right away and I've never been more satisfied with the level of service Dyson provides. It is a good product. In hindsight I wish I had a larger dustbin now that I have a Yellow Labrador ;-). Care is required not to empty the bin "too hard" so as not to break off a small, plastic retaining pin.
