Since the day we bought this, to a year later, it helped my husband stop snoring, I notice my skin is softer and nicer, we sleep better. We use it every night. We love it.

I don’t know if I have this exact model, mine’s a few years old. It definitely adds humidity to my room & I appreciate the fan with it, adds a lovely cooling effect. But the cleaning, I’ve given up; absolutely a pain in the butt to take everything apart & then go try to fit it all back together - that’s a nope. So, I never clean it anymore and will likely just toss if for a new one. Cleaning shouldn’t be this hard & I shouldn’t have to add to a landfill, because it’s impossible to clean. Other than cleaning I really like this humidifier.

I purchased this humidifier a month ago and have been struggling to justify the price tag for the product I received. Dyson is known for their intuitive design but this machine requires you to nearly take the entire device apart in order to fill the water tank which drips water all over the place when you take the canister out of the machine. Living in Canada during the winter requires a lot of humidification to keep my room comfortable and I find I am needing to refill the machine every 4-6 hours which wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't so difficult to do so. The device also lacks a lot of features that should be expected at this price point compared to other Dyson products. I have owned a Dyson fan that I have been running for 3 years non-stop that I absolutely love which I am able to check the current temperature and humidity of the room but for some reason my humidifier is not able to tell me what the current humidity is? The machine allows you to set your target humidity level but I need to use my other Dyson fan to actual check what the current humidity is in the room. The build quality is also that of a machine 1/10th of the price, composed of cheap plastic versus having a metal base like my fan and the remote is made of cheap looking plastic compared to my metal remote that came with my fan. The machine is quite and seems to do a decent job at humidifying the room which is why I have decided to keep it but it is hard to justify the steep price point when that extra Dyson quality you typically pay for is not there.

Weekly and monthly cleaning requirements are onerous. The monthly cleaning is an arduous process of taking the machine apart and putting it back together. I have a number of Dyson products and expected the same easy maintenance on this one, but I was wrong. Otherwise, it does seem to work well and it is quiet.

I own two Dyson humidifiers now. They work fantastically. The pandemic has me indoors a lot more often. I was suffering from itchy eyes, nose, throat and skin from the dry air in my home (measured it - it was hovering at 18 to 20 %)! The Dyson humidifiers have eliminated that problem altogether and with their use, the humidity levels in my home can be brought up to between 30 and 50 percent - which is ideal! We move them around to different rooms as we need them; they are in our bedrooms at night. They are quiet, easy to assemble, easy to use and clean . . . and most importantly, they do what they are supposed to.

The most important thing to say about the Dyson Humidifier is that it works and works well! We got the humidifier primarily for our cold and dry winters, and the effect was immediately noticeable. The dry air was systematically humidified and circulated around the room, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. As a minor complaint, we would have loved for the unit to display the actual humidity (in addition to the desired humidity) and see the conditions improve over time, but this in no way takes away from the effectiveness of the unit. It also helps to have a small funnel to make re-filling easier, but we offer this more as a helpful tip rather than a complaint. We were a little bit apprehensive about the cleaning procedures that many cited as burdensome, but we found that using distilled water significantly reduced the effort required. After months of use the unit still looks as new as when we first got it. Finally a word about Dyson, which as a company has truly impressed us with its professionalism and class: a minor customer service issue was resolved with a quick and pleasant 5 minute phone call, and a minor replacement part was sent to us within days of being requested. The high quality of the product is certainly a reflection of the company that stands behind it, which in an era of corporate cost cutting is rare to find and very much appreciated.

I have been using Dyson for 2 years I think. It has not been my best experience with tech products. I have a hygrometer, Dyson barely can reach set humidy level even when putting the humidifier in a small room. I have been following the cleaning routine suggested by Dyson, still no luck for any better. I got a new one before warranty expired, does not seem to work properly either.

Also the remote offers great versatility with its sleep timer, fan/humidifier modes and much more. The remote will stay magnetized at the top of the loop amplifier for easy access. Because the remote sits at the top of the loop amplifier, when removing to fill the water tank, it should not come off as it would not slide off from the loop being removed. We have a few Dyson products at home and they are state of the art machines, and that is why we decided to get this humidifier. Pros: it works also as a fan, which helps to distribute moisture evenly within the room. It has the typical blade less Dyson design. The killing bacteria feature is a great addition, as I always worried about how dirty our previous humidifier got no matter how diligent we were with the clean up. It is also very quiet. Cleaning is not a problem. The weekly cleaning is very simple. I dreaded the monthly one but after doing it for the first time, I realized it is quite easy and does not take more than 30 min (which is basically due to the soaking required). The only con I find is that the water tank is not big enough (at least for us). We live in northern Alberta, and it can get very dry during the winter, so we set moisture at 60%. All the water is used through the night, and the machine shuts down at some point (usually between 5 and 6 AM). after approximately 7 hours of work. It is not a deal breaker. Running at 50% moisture extends the working period a bit. We would not change it for another humidifier though, and we actually have purchased a second one for our living room.
