My son's room gets hot in the summer and the comforter kept him comfortable all night. The comforter is a nice weight. And it's well made. The strips add a little touch of elegance to the comforter. I'm not sure how well it washed. We have a pretty large washer and it doesn't have the agitator in the center. I thought it wouldn't be an issue washing it, but it took all of the room in the washer. It looked nice and clean after we washed it and dried it.
