Top quality! This machine works great and allows you to dial in perfect shots with taking some of the guess work out.

I bought this about two years ago. I have had it replaced by Delonghi 6 times. Always is diagnosed with a broken frame and unrepairable. The lastest replacement unit lasted 3 weeks before failing.

We returned the machine. The very manual processes required upper body strength I did not have.

I bought this yesterday and sending it back today. The pressure gauge doesn’t move. Called support and they said it’s nothing that can be fixed! We’ve owned espresso machines for more than 40 years, this beautiful but if it doesn’t work it’s not worth a penny. Very disappointed back to Breville it lasted 14 years!

It was the first time we had purchased an expresso machine, and we have been very pleased with this machine. Prior to the purchase, we did our research, and what sold us was the smart tamping feature. Unlike the other brands, this machine allows you to tamp without creating a mess on the countertop. With other similar machines, tamping is manual, which means more mess every time you ground coffee. At first, the machine looks overwhelming, but within a few days, you get used to it. Frothing is also easy, if you know what you're doing. And if you do not know how to froth, use YouTube. There are many instructional videos there on how to properly froth. I would definitely recommend this machine over the other ones out there. One thing I would recommend if you're considering buying this machine is to order cleaning tabs along with it. The machine does not come with cleaning tabs and you will need them very often to clean the system.

So, works well but when the machine decides it’s time to be cleaned, it shuts down until it’s cleaned. Last time this happened I told my company sorry but unless your willing to wait 1.5 hrs your not getting a coffee.

After 30yrs sampling and enjoying coffee in Seattle at places like Vivace, Vita, Ladro, Uptown, etc. (friends don’t let friends drink Starbucks). Purchased a La Specialista about a year ago - it makes the best coffee for me (double breve w/honey) that I’ve had anywhere. That said, I have some gripes. 1. The standard height of upper kitchen cabinets is 18”. This machine is just over that meaning it can’t be placed under the cabinet. Depending on your kitchen, you may not be able to place it against a wall if you have upper cabinets. 2. The filter is difficult to get out of the filter basket. I used the backside of a spoon to extract it until the silicone tab tore off. Purchased another and now use forceps or hemostats to remove. And, if your pulling shots back to back you have to remove it or pressure will max out and stall the machine. 3. Can’t use dark beans. The oils in darker beans seems to clog things up. I tend to like medium roasts more anyway. The last gripe isn’t that big of a deal but the splitter on the bottom of the sump came off so I can’t use two shot cups. I don’t anyway so not a big deal. All in all, I love the machine. Can’t believe it took so long for me to find this one. I’ve have several other machines. None that compare.

Excellent product, better that I think. Almost make me a barista.
