Tried oster and cuisinart. This was more affordable and worked better. The cord actually is longer and stays in. Like the nonstick coating inside and it heats up fast The prior dash model was like the oster and cuisinart. This one is a welcome improvement

The cord is awful, will not stay plugged into the unit. Very cheaply made. You have to keep plugging it back it even when the cord has plenty of slack.

It was too small for me. We like to fondue meat and that was only good for chocolate.

Used for oil fondue during family fondue night. It took awhile to heat oil, but worked well and clean up was easy. Attached to heavier duty extension cord due to short length of cord. didn't have an issue with magnetic cord detachment. Liked that pot is separate from base for cleaning.

We had a fondue party for Christmas dinner, one guest didn't have all the parts for their pot so I broke out the new one. Turned it on adjusted the temp and it heated up quickly without any one noticing. I will say the only negative thing is that the cord is very short and where I had it plugged into it kept falling out and I did not use the little containers that fit around the sides for food choices, mainly because they didn't hold enough for 6 people. Other than that I would recommend this. The non stick surface cleaned up easily and quickly and I like the solid bottom where the heat is. I would buy this again.
