It looks as if it was hand-dyed. There were no visible loose strings or stitches. The craftmanship looks very beautiful. The shams are a little loose on pillows, but it doesn't take away from the effectiveness of the product. The comforter is very soft, and warm. It's not too heavy and it's not too light. It's about perfect for spring weather. I highly recommend getting a comforter from Cosmo Living by Cosmopolitan.
