Farouk Shami brings the best of his technology and know-how from his hair care products to the clothing care market. I've had this iron, a little over a month, and all I can say, "It's Fantastic"! The 1800 watt element provides the perfect amount of heat to create a generous amount of steam and helps make eliminating wrinkles a breeze (blast of steam feature is awesome & could be used as a steamer if needed!) I've been totally impressed with the fact that the water reservoir doesn't leak when it's moved back and forth across the item being ironed. The cord retractor has worked flawlessly every time. (with my previous iron, it was always a fight to get the cord to fully retract). It's the perfect weight and the handle is very comfortable to hold and is not fatiguing when tackling bigger ironing jobs. If you're in the market for a new iron, get this one, I don't think that you'll be disappointed. Well worth the money spent. Just remember, "When you buy quality, you only cry once!"

Sadly, not a good design. Goes through water really fast and hard on the hand. Also, the retractable cord gets in the way of left-handed ironing. And the standing end of the iron is narrow and when upright, the iron tips over easily -not safe!

I like this iron however it has stopped working 5 weeks shy of the 2 year warranty. Maybe I will get lucky and the company will replace my iron at no cost!

I followed the directions. The sole plate still stuck to the fabric of my shirt. I can’t get the residue off of soleplate.

Heavy duty with many features!! Really like the option to change setting based on clothing material. The iron has lived up to my expectations. The retractable cord is nice too. Definitely recommend.

At first, I was hesitant to buy this as I'm not familiar with the brand but having used it almost everyday since I bought it, I'm loving it!

Iron gets hot quickly and has lots of steam. As a sewer, this iron stays on for 30 min which is a huge benefit. Uses tap water. No more worrying about running out of distilled water. You dial the settings and it is lit on the handle so you know exactly which setting you picked. I couldn't be more pleased with this iron.

Bought this iron to my daily dress shirts. It lasted about six month before it made a beep then the lcd screen flashed a couple times before going dark. Now it won’t power on. It’s nothing more than a big paper weight. Called Chi only to find that they just allow Hamilton Beach to use their name, they don’t make the iron. So I have gone back to Rowente. I had my last Rowente for about 13 years. Stay with a trusted brand.

This iron produced VERY LITTLE STEAM! The amount of steam this iron was supposed to produce influenced me to purchase this iron...VERY DISAPPOINTED!! The only time this iron produced steam was when I held the steam button down. I expected a much better product from CHI...
