This silverware set is very nice and classic. However its showing dilver tips at the end, a sign of loosing the black finished.

I love the look and feel of this flatware set. However, I've had the set for about 3 weeks, and I have been hand washing them with a soft cloth and avoiding lemon detergents because I was unsure how the finish would hold up. So far so good until today. I started a bowl of soup with a spoon that had a solid black finish and by the time I had finished, a substantial amount of the finish had worn off. Hopefully the finish is non-toxic, as I have ingested some of it!

A little expensive for me but had rewards to use . I bought 2 sets . Love these I wish they sold pieces separately . I’m always running out of forks so I run dishwasher more . They have not faded or lost any color . Very happy with them . I would recommend !!

Hello, I bought 2 sets of these. We went to visit our Son, and he had them and we fell in love with them. It has not even been a month, and the black is becoming silver. WHY???? I spent good money on the 2 sets, there is no way, this should be happening, AT ALL !!! I just wrote the Company, expressing my disappointment. I have followed all of the below instructions for this flatware. I even went a step further by not putting them in the Dishwasher even though they say, Dishwasher Safe. Details: Dishwasher Safe. Avoid using abrasive cleaning agents such as steel wool and citric acid detergent. Do not soak, clean after use. 25-Year limited warranty. Imported.

This flatware set is stainless steel and is designed to maintain the finish for years to come however, there are a few specific care needs that we want to share below for preserving all fine flatware and cutlery for years to come.
Discoloring is typically a sign of detergent not fully removed when washing the product, which ultimately leads to pitting. Citric and abrasive cleaning agents will also damage the flatware.
-Wash your flatware as soon as possible after use. Some foods can promote staining/corrosion.
-Avoid soaking stainless flatware in water for an extended period.
-Avoid air drying if possible. Using a soft cloth to dry is beneficial.
-Do not use steel wool pads or detergent/polish compounds that scratch stainless steel or the coating.
-Knives are especially vulnerable as the surface becomes more sensitive to rusting.

I got this set for my wedding shower 4 years ago and the black has worn off all of my spoons, so not worth the money. I thought I was buying a set that would last for 10 + years..
