I ordered these pans off of my wedding registry and they arrived about three weeks ago. I've used most of the pans so far, but not all just yet. Overall, they've been great. But one of the reasons I thought I'd try a hard-anodized set instead of stainless steel or non-stick is that it advertises that it's "metal utensil safe". I usually NEVER use metal utensils on my pans, but I thought the fact that you COULD if you needed to was a nice feature. The first time I used the 2.5 qt sauce pan this last weekend, I grabbed a metal utensil to stir my soup after cooking it, and when I hand-washed the pan afterwards, I noticed it was peeling. I hadn't scraped the pan - I just stirred the soup a little and this happened. Maybe mine was just defective?? I did call Calphalon customer service this morning, and they're making it right, but be aware if you buy this, that even though it says you CAN use metal utensils, treat it like a normal non-stick set and don't use metal...
Don't get me wrong I think Calphalon has one of the best products out there. I have used Calphalon products for years, but don't count on them to back up their warranty. I purchased $1500.00+ worth of Calphalon products from Bed Bath and Beyond. I had two pots that the coating started lifting. I don't use metal on them, I never put them in the dishwasher, I use Dawn dish soap to wash all of my pots and pans, I have never put them in the oven and I am a very responsible cook; I do not over heat and I use a ceramic flat top electric stove. When I tried to use the warranty, Calphalon, made it so difficult to replace I gave up. So while the product is great don't expect their supossed great warranty sway your opinion when comparing to other brands.

I have had my Calphalon cooking sets for 20-25 years. I purchased two sets one anodized and one non stick. I have purchased just recently the biggest pot they sell. If you metal utensils in your pan you will mess it up. It takes a lot of scratching…like for ever to get that way. I am now on the site purchasing a 14 piece set for a wedding gift. Take care of what you by and it will last. Mine will last for another 20 years! I have pots in two cabinets and all the lids in another.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love these lids, but I found that the metal edge can easily dent if accidentally hit. The handles are comfortable and stay fairly cool. They are still among one of the best I've owned.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the Calphalon skillet. We are a family of 7 so the Calphalon Premier Nonstick 13-Inch Deep Skillet comes in hand. The size is perfect. I can cook 7 hamburgers in it with no issues. The depth is great for rice, spaghetti, noodle, and many other things. One thing I love is the handle doesn't get hot while using it. Another bonus I love is its non-stick. Even when I cook cheeseburgers and cheese gets in the pan. It doesn't stick. It is easy to clean. It is dishwasher safe and it is also oven safe. This is always my go-to pan as I use it for almost every meal. I would highly recommend it to any family. It is a very great skillet and is heavy-duty.

After reading some reviews stating lids didn't fit I was pleased to know mine did. My skillets are relatively new though but the lids were a perfect fit. I'm thoroughly pleased.

I wanted a big stock pot and this one is the perfect size. I don’t use it often but am glad I have it when needed.
