I just picked this set up yesterday. So far, they seem to be great, however, one of my lids was bent and the 12 in fry pan does not have the helper handle as pictured. I honestly feel like the larger sauce pans could use a helper handle too. The strainer lids feel fairly loose, so a helper handle could make using that feature easier.

We got these pots and within 6 months the 1.5 qt peeled. We had to throw it away. Very disappointed and would not recommend.

This set is a overpriced for what it is. The nonstick coating flakes off in a very short period of time. We do not stack the pans, use only wooden or silicone utensils, and wash by hand. No self respecting cook would want such precious pans. The only thing they are good for is putting on the shelf and looking at them.

Love the even heat distribution and very sturdy feel.

I purchased the 14 piece Calphalon Classic cookware set about 6 weeks ago after owning a single Calphalon skillet for approximately 12-15 years. This cookware is honestly and truly non-stick! And it's pretty! It would fit well in any kitchen, with any decor. I've used all pieces except the stock pot and the 12" skillet so far and not had any problems with the pans or skillets. They cook evenly, the long handles don't get hot and they are amazingly easy to clean. Except for the lids on the saucepans. Twice I have had trouble removing small pieces of food from the saucepan lids after draining. The problem has only occurred when I used the lid to drain water off of potatoes or spaghetti. In both cases small pieces of potato or pasta became lodged between the glass part of the lid and the steel part. It was EXTREMELY difficult and very time consuming to remove the pieces of food and get the lids completely clean. The space between the glass and the stainless parts of the lid is very small, and it's practically impossible to find a way to dislodge any food that becomes stuck in that tiny space . So far that's the only 2 items I've cooked that have been a problem. Other than that, I am very pleased with the cookware.

Followed all care instructions, used only silicone or wood spoons but there was still chipping. Dose not handle cooking at high heat, even searing meat for short amounts of time damages the pan!

My Mother-in-law purchased a set of pots and pans back in the late 1970’s. When searching for pans for our new beach cottage currently being built, I wanted the same pans. They are easy to use and clean and have held up very well through the years. The bottom of those pans are marked ‘Commercial, built in Toledo, Ohio’. We could not locate that company, but a little research showed that the current Calphalon is now what used to be the Commercial brand. I have not yet used these new pans. I did however, buy a separate Calphalon wok to replace an old one I have in my home. I have used that several times and am extremely pleased with that purchase. I look forward to many years use of my new pots and pans from Calphalon.

I've purchased 3 sets of this Calphalon cook ware. The first two as wedding gifts for my nephews. I didn't know how good of a gift I had given them until I replace my aged pots and pans. !n extreamly impressive design with strainers built into the glass tops. After cooking with a good friend who is one of the best French chefs in San Diego he showed me what to look for in Cook ware. You won't be sorry you got them.
